Based mostly in Paris, Will Neal works as a reporter for The Daily Beast, and internationally as a freelance investigative journalist for publications including The Observer, The i Paper, New Lines Magazine and Meduza. He previously covered the South Caucasus from Tbilisi prior to being expelled from Georgia in May 2025 on political grounds. Before that, he spent three years at the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project, working on international collaborative investigations that included Suisse Secrets and the European Press Prize-winning Russian Asset Tracker. In 2025, he was shortlisted for Amnesty International’s Gaby Rado Award for New Journalist, and was a finalist for the Wallace House Center for Journalists’ Livingston Award in International Reporting.
