Vice President JD Vance had an unusual stain on his shirt as he sat alongside Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, the prime minister of Saudi Arabia.

In a photo uploaded to the official White House Flickr account on Thursday, a faint brown stain can be seen on the chest area of Vance’s tuxedo shirt. Vance, 41, was smiling alongside the Crown Prince at a White House dinner held for his visit.

The picture was widely mocked after it was posted to X by journalist Aaron Rupar. Due to the stain’s location, multiple users said it appeared the vice president was lactating.
Reps for Vance did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The Trump administration pulled out all the stops for bin Salman’s visit to D.C., including inviting soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo and arranging a military aircraft flyover and cannons to welcome him to the White House.
Trump, 79, appeared to have a great time with bin Salman on Tuesday, laughing and joking with the Crown Prince for the cameras as he suggested the Saudi leader knew nothing about the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, despite U.S. intelligence officials determining the royal ordered the killing.
Their congenial meeting appalled critics, including Khashoggi’s widow and his old paper, The Washington Post. One day after the meeting, Virginia congressman Eugene Vindman, a National Security Council staffer under the first Trump administration, urged the White House to release a “shocking and disturbing” 2019 phone call between Donald Trump and the Saudi crown prince.

As for Vance, the stain is the latest way critics have joked about his bodily functions. During the 2024 election cycle, a false rumor circulated that Vance had written about having a sexual awakening with a couch in Hillbilly Elegy. It became a favorite joke of Democrats, and the official Democrats X account appeared to reference it when Vance’s wife Usha was seen without her wedding ring on Friday.
The state of the vice president’s marriage has been the subject of speculation since Vance publicly said he wished Usha, a Hindu, would convert to Catholicism. His warm embrace with Erika Kirk at an Oct. 29 Turning Point USA event caused intense scrutiny about the pair’s relationship.
