The body of Noelani Robinson, a missing 2-year-old whose mother was killed this week, was discovered in Minnesota, officials said Saturday. According to The Associated Press, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension found the lifeless toddler in Steele County, which is south of Minneapolis. Gordon said authorities are waiting for early autopsy results and formal identification. Noelani’s father, Dariaz Higgins, is accused of fatally shooting her mother, Sierra Robinson, on Monday, per the AP. Police arrested Higgins on Wednesday. While he had given them information on little Noelani’s whereabouts, police officials in Milwaukee reportedly said it was “proven to be untrue.” Officials alleged that Higgins had brought Noelani to Milwaukee, where he planned to give her to Robinson, though they don’t know whether the girl was actually with him on this trip. Authorities claim that Higgins was Robinson’s pimp at one point. Robinson left Higgins after moving to Las Vegas in February, but decided she wanted Noelani back, officials reportedly said.
