Colin Jost Humiliated With Brutal Scarlett Johansson Prank on ‘SNL’

CRUEL

Michael Che blindsided Jost in an unusual “Joke Swap” segment.

“Weekend Update” on Saturday Night Live returned to its now-traditional Joke Swap segment, in which co-anchors Colin Jost and Michael Che write offensive jokes for the other to read live.

There was just one catch: when Che announced the joke swap to viewers, Jost responded, “See that’s interesting, because you specifically said that we were not doing it this year.”

“Oh, did I?” Che asked, innocently. “Well, I guess you’ll just have to read mine.”

Much like last year’s Christmas joke swap, the darkest joke here centered on Jost’s wife, the actress Scarlett Johansson.

“New research shows that millions of women leave the workforce due to menopause,” Jost said, “Which means there’s only a couple years left on my gravy train.”

Jost was forced to read the rest of the joke, saying that his wife “already be like, ‘Colin, I’m warm. Colin, I’m sweating.’”

Jost told Johansson, “B---h, you having a hot flash.”

Tragically for Jost, this was not the end of the bit. He continued, “But don’t worry about me, I got a backup.”

Showing a picture of Jenna Ortega as her hit character Wednesday Addams, Jost bragged, “They don’t call Wednesday ‘hump day’ for nothing.”

“Wow, Colin,” Che said in a shocked tone. “I wouldn’t have done that one.”

Che’s earlier jokes for Jost didn’t go easy on him either.

“The Archdiocese of New York announced it will set up a $300 million fund for victims of church sexual abuse,” Jost said, “And yet I get nothing for keeping my mouth shut and taking it like a champ.”

As poor Jost struggled to get through his lines, Che mockingly told him, “You should have wrote some jokes for me to tell.”

Although Jost managed a rare win against Che in the joke swap segment in May 2024, this one continues the usual pattern of Che ending up on top. This time, however, Che only won by default.
