Rosie O’Donnell’s 28-year-old daughter Chelsea has been sentenced to prison on drug charges after a judge revoked her probation.

Chelsea’s six-year probation was revoked due to a violation that involved sexual assault allegations, an official from the treatment drug court told US Weekly. No further details were provided.

The official also noted that Chelsea had not shown significant progress in the Marinette County Treatment Drug Court Program. Based on this, accounts from officials and “facts surrounding this request,” her drug treatment program had “sufficient grounds to warrant termination,” a court filing stated.

Chelsea will be transferred to the medium-security Taycheedah Correctional Institution in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin—about halfway between Milwaukee and Green Bay. The length of her sentence has not been disclosed.

The Daily Beast has reached out to the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office for comment.

“I have compassion for those struggling with addiction. Chelsea was born into addiction and it has been a painful journey for her and her children,“ O’Donnell, 63, told Us Weekly. “We continue to love and support her through these horrible times. Prayers welcomed.”

O’Donnell shared a similar message of support to Instagram, along with a childhood photo of Chelsea: “my child chelsea belle - before addiction took over her life - i loved her then i love her now as she faces a scary future- prayers welcomed.”

In January, Chelsea was sentenced to six years’ probation after three arrests in 2024—all involving drugs, and one also for alleged child neglect of her then-11-month-old. That sentence came as part of a plea deal, which stayed an 18-month prison sentence. But Chelsea recently violated the terms of her probation.

Court records state: “The facts surrounding this request have been staffed with the Marinette County Treatment Drug Court Team and have been deemed sufficient grounds to warrant termination from the Marinette County Treatment Drug Court Program.”

Chelsea was sentenced a week ago, those court records also show. She has been in the custody of the Marinette County Sheriff’s office since Sept. 9, an officer told Us Weekly. The officer added that while Chelsea will be sent to the Taycheedah Correctional Institution, she may ultimately serve out her sentence elsewhere.

Chelsea is O’Donnell’s adopted daughter. In April, after the elder O’Donnell moved to Ireland following Donald Trump’s reelection and reportedly removed her from her $80 million estate, Chelsea petitioned to change her last name to her birth mother’s: Deanna.

Chelsea also has a daughter, who was born in 2018.
