A telling preview clip of President Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s first joint interview reveals the Republican leader confronting the “President Musk” jibes.
Speaking to Fox News star Sean Hannity, Trump shared that Musk called and warned him that “they’re trying to drive us apart.”
“I said, ‘Absolutely,’” said Trump. He mocked, “We have breaking news: Donald Trump has ceded control of the presidency to Elon Musk. President Musk will be attending a cabinet meeting.”

Slamming reports about his relationship with Musk, Trump said it’s all “just so obvious.”
He added, “They are so bad at it. I used to think they were good at it. They are actually bad at it. Because if they were good at it I’d never be president.”
Fox News announced Friday that Musk and Trump’s sit-down will air Tuesday, Feb. 18, and will “focus on DOGE, the first 100 days of the Trump administration, and other news of the day.”
Allegations that Musk is secretly pulling all of Trump’s strings from the White House went into overdrive on Tuesday after Musk seemed to take over a presser in the Oval Office.
Musk defended DOGE’s efforts to weed out government “waste” as Trump affirmed that he intends to sign an executive order giving the billionaire even more power.
MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell remarked that the optics of the moment, with a casually dressed Musk standing over a sitting Trump, created the “most powerless image ever” of a U.S. president.
